Our Story
Silicon Valley Goldendoodles, started as a hobby out of a passion for the breed and has grown Into a labor of love with a strong emphasis on natural rearing. What is most important to us is to set our dogs up for a life of health and happiness. As a retired International Certified Dog Groomer, I have come to love Goldendoodles because of how brilliant these dogs are. We pride ourselves on raising quality, family-friendly dogs and service dogs that make the best, and fluffiest, companions. From my home to yours, these dogs are given the highest quality of care and love so they can truly thrive.
Travis is a retired International Certified Dog Groomer. He has worked with a diversity of breeds in his profession and is commonly regarded as one of the top 100 dog groomers in the world. In 2016 Travis sold his dog grooming salon and boarding facility and relocated to Silicon Valley to complete his Doctorate in Neuropsychology. Travis has over 20 years experience breeding doodles, poodles and schnauzers. Since completing his doctorate Travis works in public health, also devoting his spare time by volunteering for the Santa Clara County Suicide prevention hotline, the San Francisco VA Hospital and is active in many animal rescue organizations. Travis and Silicon Valley Goldendoodles has also been instrumental in raising funds, awareness and creating a Law Enforcement Assistive Therapy Dog Training program.
Our Breeding Program exists to raise puppies to be trained as Service Dogs to assist the disabled. We can usually determine which dogs won’t make it all the way through training. Puppies that would be uncomfortable with the many varying settings in public are rehomed as family pets. We have a very high rate of success with the dogs in our program making it as service dogs and family pets. This is a result of the excellent breeding behind our dogs – we produce highly trainable dogs with calm and loving temperaments, intelligence and good health.
The dogs in my breeding program are the best, and they are treated as such! They are not left in kennels. We keep all moms in guardian homes only breeding them twice and work with 2 different local families to keep our males.We take an active role in the health and training of our breeding dogs, they are loved and a part of our family. This ensures that each dog gets the individual attention that they need and deserve.

If your application is approved, and your deposit is placed, you’re not locked into a particular litter. You have the option to pass on litters as they become available. This allows you to get the exact Doodle puppy that you want in the timing that works best for you.
Travis has spent the past 17 years developing a substantial reputation as an International Certified Professional Groomer and also a breeder of Doodle puppies for several service organizations. It is not uncommon for Silicon Valley Goldendoodles to be selected by regional and national law enforcement for the breeding and training of Law Enforcement Assisted therapy Dogs. We have a very loyal following from those who’ve had the privilege of adopting a puppy from us. Silicon Valley Goldendoodles is the only dog breeder in the Greater Bay Area to maintain an active membership in good standing with the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce as well as the Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce.
We’re one of the only breeders (of any dog breed) that offers a refundable deposit. We want families to get a great dog that is a good fit for your family. We recognize that for some families an older dog through a Humane Society or another breeder may be a better fit. We understand that your plans may change after a deposit is placed. Thus we have no problem refunding a deposit on any dog prior to the litter being born. Deposits placed on litters that are already born are nonrefundable. If you come to visit and can’t make a match with the litter you reserved or plans change once your litter is born we do allow you to apply your deposit to a different litter contingent upon availability.
Travis believes that puppies are healthier and properly socialized when raised in a family setting, rather than a kennel with dozens of dogs or a puppy mill.
All puppies from our breeding program come with an generous two year health warranty. If you follow our feeding, training and care recommendations it extends to three years.
The Standard Terms of Our Health Guarantee are as follows:
– In accordance with State of California consumer laws; Should your puppy be proven to have a life inhibiting genetic defect within it’s first 2 years of age, confirmed by written diagnosis from your vet and our vet. OR- Should you suffer the loss of your puppy within its first 2 years as a result of a genetic defect. Silicon Valley Goldendoodles will replace your dog and or reimburse you for medical expenses under the provisions of the California (Polanco-Lockyer Pet Breeder Warranty Act) * In the event of a death we require a necropsy in addition to a diagnosis confirming a life inhibiting genetic defect to be the cause of death.
- We cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just as a physician cannot guarantee that a human will develop any health problems in the future.
- Our parents are free of diseases, disorders and health problems, which means that our puppies are less likely to develop health problems.
- This Guarantee is void upon any evidence or finding of abuse or neglect. Chronic obesity and poor hygiene constitute neglect. We also require to remain in effect the dog receive veterinary services on a regular basis.
- Silicon Valley Goldendoodles in congruency with California (The Polanco-Lockyer Pet Breeder Warranty Act) does not guarantee against Coccidia, Giardiasis (which are typically dormant single celled parasites common in puppies and adult dogs). WE also cannot guarantee final adult weight, color, breeding ability, show potential or against overbites, under bites, hernias occurring after 8 weeks of age, temperament/ behavior issues or undescended testicles. By engaging in business with us you are understanding and agreeing what we guarantee for.
Most families prefer to pick their puppy up our main facility in silicon valley (Los Gatos). If you are unable to make the trip, we deliver for a flat rate $400 (a second pup is only $150 more for delivery) We do not rehome our puppies outside of the state of California.
As a recognized leader in the Doodle community, we enjoy giving back. Several puppies from each litter are fostered and raised as service dogs. These puppies are provided to service organizations at reduced cost making them more available for others in need.
Genetics Program
In order to ensure the quality of our puppies, all of our breeding dogs are either OFA certified for hips and elbows or have had PennHIP certification, have a heart clearance and CERF for eyes. Some of our dogs are also shown in the ring to prove the quality of their confirmation and breeding. All Puppies from our program come with a health guarantee.

Our program operates on a much smaller scale and produces training that is head and shoulders above the competition.
